It is well known that Lily Allen is a huge fan of Chanel. She is always seen out and about with one of her many 2.55 bags and is often front row, centre at the fashion house’s Paris Fashion Week shows. So it’s no surprise that designer Karl Lagerfeld picked her as the new face of the autumn/winter accessories campaign.
Lily Allen has been unveiled as the face of handbag line Chanel Coco Cocoon and newly released photos from an upcoming campaign show Allen striking a pose with the latest luxury creations. In photos taken by Chanel designer Karl Lagerfield himself, the campaign channels Holly Golightly in a Breakfast at Tiffany’s theme. With her hair in a sleek but huge bouffant chignon topped with a glam tiara, Allen is the essence of sophisticated glamour in the black and white images. In one shot, Lily looks positively Lagerfeld-like, wearing fingerless gloves, dark sunglasses and a sharply tailored black suit.
The collection nylon and lambskin bags can be reversed and turned inside out offering two styles in one. Perhaps a nod to recessionista chic? On one side the designs are either lambskin or ecru, but they can also be worn with the quilted lining on the outside.
The collection will be launched in October
