Cops have pieced together EVERY SECOND of the last 12 hours of Michael Jackson’s life, the superstar’s family said last night. Dr. Conrad Murray wanted a witness to his unsuccessful try at cardiac resuscitation. That witness was Jackson’s son, Prince Michael, 12. His revelations come 24 hours after cops and drug agents searched cardiologist Dr. Murray’s office in Houston, Texas which included two “robbery/homicide” detectives from Los Angeles.
Jackson family friend, and cosmetic surgeon, Dr. Steven Hoefflin said told The Sun newspaper that Murray made Prince Michael watch him perform cardiac resuscitation on his dying father. Hoefflin, spoke about how Prince was “understandably traumatized” by the event. ‘It is the family’s belief that this was intended to show a member of Michael’s family that he was trying to bring Michael back to life’ and Jackson’s mother Katherine is “sickened” by what happened.
Dr. Hoefflin, speaking on behalf of the singer’s mother Katherine, said that medics at Los Angeles’ UCLA Hospital believe Jackson had been dead for at least TWO HOURS before he arrived there. It is thought he had a heart attack after being given the sedative Propofol at his rented mansion.
Hoefflin, 63, said witnesses in the house had seen Dr Murray give Jacko Propofol through an intravenous drip every night. Hoefflin revealed that police searched Michael’s house for a second time and found Propofol hidden in a cabinet adding: “If you know anything about the drug, which should not be administered by anyone other than a trained anesthesiologist and in a clinical setting, this is insane and dangerous. “My opinion is that Dr. Murray fell asleep on the night Michael died, while the IV drip administering Propofol was in Michael’s arm.”
He went on to say, “I have been told by the family and from talking to the children that on the night Michael died, Dr. Murray actually got one of the Jackson children, Prince Michael, to personally come into the bedroom to watch him performing CPR on his father. The family has told me Dr. Murray ensured Prince Michael understood the CPR procedure and that he was doing it correctly. It is the family’s belief that this was intended to show a member of Michael’s family that he was trying to bring Michael back to life. In my opinion Dr Murray should have known Michael was already dead and I believe that is the reason he didn’t move him from the bed to the harder surface of the floor to perform CPR. It was horrific and very traumatic for Prince Michael. Katherine and the rest of the family are sickened this happened.”
Paramedics said Dr. Murray refused to let them take over in the ambulance and he only stopped performing CPR when Michael got to hospital and was officially pronounced dead there. Dr Hoefflin added: “I can also tell you the police have now pieced together every minute of the last 12 hours before Michael died.”
Murray’s lawyer Ed Chernoff admitted they were looking for evidence of manslaughter. But he said Dr Murray, who insists Jackson had a faint pulse when he found him, had nothing to hide. Police had said previously that Dr Murray was not a suspect, but were granted a search warrant allowing the authorities to seek evidence of manslaughter.
Sources say the Jackson family is “taking a hard look at the doctors who treated Michael – and want to sue whether or not they face criminal charges.” They added: “The Jackson family not only wants jail time for anyone who contributed to Michael’s death, they also want to make them pay – literally.”
