MORNING COFFEE: Mystery Surrounding Michael Jackson’s Secret Son, Omer Bhatti; Jermaine Pledges to Welcome Into Family; Looks Like Blanket & Moves Like Michael

Yesterday while in Vienna, Michael Jackson’s brother Jermaine pledged to welcome his brothers suspected lovechild into the family and treat him the same as the singer’s other three children IF he proves to be the singers fourth child.

michael and omerOmer Bhatti, 25, the young man being referred to as Michael Jackson’s “secret son” by the British press sat in the front row at Michael Jackson’s memorial service with the King of Pop’s children, parents, brothers and sisters. Jackson is believed to have told friends in 2004 that the Norwegian Omer was born following a one-night stand with a fan. But Bhatti was no secret to the pop star’s family. Sources said that Michael Jacksons family say that Bhatti, who often went by the name Michael J, was introduced to the Jackson family as early as 1992.

omer“One day at the (Neverland) ranch, Michael’s nephew Austin, (Jackson’s sister) Rebbie’s son, told his mom he just met a kid who called himself Michael J, but his name was Omer, and he was saying that Uncle Michael was his father. It was just that out of the blue,” said one Jackson family friend. “This was news to Rebbie, and she turned around and called (Jackson’s mother) Katherine, who had no knowledge of it either.” From that point forward, Bhatti was “running around Neverland all the time. The family has been wondering how long it would take for this to get out,” the friend said.

Jermaine Jackson, 54, said he wasn’t yet sure whether Omer was his brother’s son, but if he was a Jackson, he would be treated exactly the same as Michael’s three younger children. “If Omer’s his son, he’s his son. We won’t deny it. We are going to give him the same amount of love and care that we give Prince and Paris and Blanket. I can’t clearly say if he is Michael’s but I saw this kid around him.”

Jermaine revealed that Omer, who as a child looked strikingly similar to Michael’s seven-year-old son Blanket, was moved by their sister Rebbie to a special place alongside the family during the service at the LA Staples Center. She wanted him closer to their mother, Katherine and ended up seating Omer between Rebbie and Prince Michael I on the front row. He said: “My sister Rebbie went and got him during the service and got him to sit closer to my mother.”

Omer has remained in LA since Michael’s death and has also been spending time with the Jackson children at the family compound in Encino, California, where Prince Michael, 12, Paris, 11 and Blanket now live. Omer’s request for a DNA test has deepened the mystery surrounding Blanket. Jackson took to his grave the ID of his third child’s mother, but Omer’s mother Pia Bhatti, 45, is now in the picture as a possibility. Pictures show her with Omer at an airport in 1996 and then with Omer and Michael in South Korea. Pia has refused to deny she is Blanket’s mother, saying: “I’m not going to discuss it.”

The Thriller singer reportedly told close friends several years ago that he fathered Omer after a one-night stand with a Norwegian fan in 1984. The existence of Omer first became public in 2003 when US TV show Dateline broadcast a 1998 home video of him receiving gifts from Michael. Omer was thought to have been introduced to Michael in a Tunisia hotel and impressed the singer with his dance moves. A Fox News report in 2004 claimed Michael had been telling his friends he was the father, but they were unsure whether or not to believe him.

Omer Bhatti DANCES like the King of Pop and LOOKS like his child, Blanket. Coincidence?

Photos of a young Omer Bhatti, seen strutting his stuff on stage as a youngster dressed in a black costume similar to those worn by Jackson, are drawing comparisons to the striking resemblance to Michael Jackson’s youngest son, Blanket.

Bhatti wore his hair long and tied back, just like his idol, and looks almost identical to Prince Michael II, seven. Video’s show a young Bhatti performing on stage emulating the King of Pop’s dance moves as well as the trademark flicks and thrusts.

  4. when you look for resemblance are you looking at MJ’s natual state or post plastic surgery? The kid looks nothing like the natural micheal jackson. Also, completion wrong, hair texture wrong. my guess is none of the kids are his biological children but, if he loved them and they loved him, it doesn’t really matter.
