Sex and the City fans can breathe a sigh of relief because Mr. Big, will be joining our favorite foursome in the sequel to our fashionably favorite movie, “Sex and the City: The Sequel”.
Sarah Jessica Parker, also known as Carrie Bradshaw, confirmed that Chris Noth (Mr. Big) has signed on for the movie sequel, set to be released on May 28, 2010. In addition, all four ladies, as well as writer-director Michael Patrick King, are in the works to bring us another dose of fierce fashion and good times. Rumor has it that super stud, Gilles Marini, may also be back as a possible love interest for Kim Cattrall (Samantha Jones). In case you don’t recall Marini, let me refresh your memory. He was the sexy, and often naked, next door neighbor of Cattrall’s character (Samantha Jones) who’s glorious “assets” were on display and sending fans into frenzy about his anything but ‘small’ role in the film. Parker said about a possible return for Marini, “I don’t know anything specific about a story for him, but it’s very possible.”
The movie left off with Carrie and Big FINALLY tying the knot after another series of drama fueled break-ups. As the cast prepares to return to the set, rumors on possible story lines for the sequel are running wild with a few publications letting us in on some secret spoilers. The last film was shot in NYC and photographers captured nearly every movement including Carrie in her wedding dress causing speculation over possible storylines, one which included a wedding dream. I am certain the press will be out in force as soon as filming hits the streets and we’ll start to get a sneak peak of what’s on the horizon but for now I’ve heard the story is set in London, where Carrie and Big move after he takes a new job. Considering that London is a hip and fashionable city, I’d love to see how fashion risk-taker Carrie incorporates her new city into her wardrobe. She nailed Parisian fashion at the end of the series and I could just imagine her on the town with Kate Moss and sporting Vivienne Westwood and Philip Treacy hats. In addition, one spy said a Carrie-Big baby might be on the horizon, but I find that hard to believe. I mean, do they make stilettos for little girls? We’ll have to wait and see.
