This Sunday on “True Blood” viewers will be introduced to Evan Rachel Wood as Queen Sophie-Anne, a 1,100 year old vampire who heads the Louisiana monarchy, who  Bill (Stephen Moyer) approaches for help. And we’ll discover that the Queen is actually hooked up with Sookie’s cousin, Hadley Hale (Lindsey Haun).

Evan Rachel Wood is coquettishly hinting that viewers could see her in steamy scenes with either men or women “Her human partner is a girl,” Evan Rachel Wood says of her “True Blood” character, “but I’m pretty sure she goes both ways.”

“She’s not necessarily a lesbian,” Wood told E!Online. “Her human partner is a girl, but I’m pretty sure she goes both ways [laughs]. I think vampires are like that in general.”

The 21-year-old former girlfriend of Marilyn Manson and star of “The Wrestler” was vague about what’s in store for her character, but suggested that nudity could certainly happen. “They are bringing me back next season, so it’s always a possibility. It’s kind of inevitable.”

Marc Malkin of E!Online interviewed Evan about the Queen, and while she couldn’t give up the goods in terms of what’s coming up next on the show, she did divulge that if she had to choose between vampires Bill and Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) she would choose the deviously sexy Skarsgard. “I would say, Team Alex–Eric! Whoops.” When asked if she had seen the super sexy clip of Alexander’s shower scene in “Hundtricket” she replied: “I am not going to lie. Yes I have.” She then added, “That’s another great thing about my job—all of my scenes are with Bill and Eric! I was surrounded by beautiful people constantly.”

Robert Pattinson is currently in Vancouver filming the latest installment of the “Twilight” series “Eclipse.” We finally got a glimpse of our favorite vampire as he prepares to fight for Bella in the third series of the franchise.

The vampiric actor was spotted stepping back into his role as hot and sexy vampire Edward Cullen for the first time since filming started. RadarOnline.com had the amazing  photos of the actor’s return to his famous role. Emerging from his trailer with a pale face and cherry tinted luscious lips, Pattinson took a break from filming in Vancouver and hung out with co-stars and fellow bloodsuckers Ashley Greene and Jackson Rathbone.

The security surrounding the cast members in Vancouver has been high, especially since Pattinson caused such a stir while filming in NYC that he was clipped by a cab trying to escape crowds full of Twihards. Rob was last spotted at a Kings of Leon concert over a week ago with co-star Kristen Stewart.

With Edward on set, his Bella shouldn’t be too far behind so I’ll be on the lookout for photos of Kristen Stewart and sexy wolf Taylor Lautner (Jacob Black).

At the release of “Twilight: New Moon” approaches we’re being thrown breadcrumbs from Summit Entertainment to make sure we’re still fanatical about the movie. Well, we are and these chilling newly released photos of the evil Volturi confirm that that true to the book, the latest installment of the “Twilight” series is making an eerie turn.

Anything “Twilight” touches turns to gold and as November 20 quickly approaches you can expect the fameball of the cast members to rise as Twihards and fans alike embrace the latest film which has Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Jacob (Taylor Lautner) in the early stages of their love triangle with Edward (Robert Pattinson).

In “New Moon,” the second installment in Stephenie Meyer’s wildly popular “Twilight”  saga, readers are introduced to the ancient ruling class of vampires known as the Volturi. Director Chris Weitz did a brilliant job in capturing their corpselike appearance and mysterious presence by giving them custom-crafted blood-red eyes. “They’re all hand-painted, specially manufactured contacts,” Weitz told People magazine. “They’re opaque red, almost like preying mantis eyes. You can’t really see into them. There’s something terribly off-putting about it.”

British actor Michael Sheen plays Aro, leader of the Italian blood-sucking clan. Although Aro and his brothers Marcus (Christopher Heyerdahl) and Caius (Jamie Campbell Bower) have been “alive” for thousands of years, Weitz says he “deliberately” gave them a younger look in the film – for which he credits author Meyer. “Stephenie was very keen to steer away from a kind of wizard-y look for the vampires,” says Weitz. “They do look quite young, but they convey a formality and self-possession, which comes from age.”

The most lethal of all the Volturi is Jane (Dakota Fanning), an angelic-looking vampire who inflicts physical torture on her victims. “She is very strange and very spooky in this movie,” says Weitz. “I think [Dakota] wanted to play an evil character for once.”

Fanning showed off Jane’s bloodthirsty look in new promo photos for “New Moon.” Co-star Michael Sheen says Fanning’s look is plain creepy. “I think Dakota may look the most unsettling,” he Tweeted earlier this summer. “So angelic, yet so weird. As Jane that is, of course. Like an evil red riding hood.” “Keep forgetting how freaky I look with my red eyes,” Sheen Tweeted.

“New Moon” hits theaters November 20.

The Irishman lost his wife, actress Natasha Richardson, in March after what first appeared to be a minor fall while skiing in Canada. Appearing on ABC’s Good Morning America, Neeson said he and the couple’s two sons were ‘doing good’ five months after the tragic accident. ‘To be honest, we are taking each day as it comes,’ he said.

Richardson died in March, aged 45, after banging her head in a skiing fall at the Quebec resort of Mont Tremblant. She had declined medical treatment at the scene and laughed off the incident, but later reported feeling unwell and an ambulance was called to her hotel. Her condition swiftly deteriorated and she was transferred from a local hospital to a larger unit in Montreal, where doctors established that she was brain dead. She was then flown to New York, where the family gathered to say a last goodbye. After a few days, Neeson and other relatives made the heartbreaking decision to take her off life support. The couple had two sons together, Michael and Daniel.

Neeson, who is originally from Ballymena in County Antrim, Northern Ireland and currently resides in New York, is still getting extraordinary letters of condolences from well wishers across the country which is one of the reasons he decided to become a U.S. citizen. ‘That is partly the reason why I’ve recently become an American citizen,’ Neeson said, adding: ‘I’m still a proud Irishman, of course, but I’ve become an American citizen – I’m very proud of that.’

One of the well wishers who offered support during his time of need was Ted Kennedy, who wrote Neeson following Richardson’s death. ‘I met him a couple of times, and he wrote my family a very beautiful, touching condolence letter when Natasha died. It is the end of an era. I have a very clear memory of being a 10-year-old boy and being taken to the ancestral Kennedy homestead in Ireland and posing for a photograph underneath the gable of their home with the American flag and the Irish flag up there on the gable.’

Since Natasha’s passing Liam has been keeping busy with work and will appear as Abraham Lincoln in Steven Spielberg’s upcoming biopic. He will also voice the character of Aslas in the next Narnia film.

Natasha Richardson was part of one of the great theatrical dynasties: the Redgraves. She appeared in more than 30 Hollywood films, but was best known for her work on the stage. She performed a number of Shakespearean roles, among them Ophelia in Hamlet and Helena in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. In 1998 she won a Tony award, for best actress in a musical, for her performance as Sally Bowles in Sam Mendes’s Broadway production of Cabaret.

Housing Works, the largest community-based AIDS service organization in the United States, hosts a monthly “Editor’s Choice” series where fashions elite come together to shop in the name of charity. For August’ installment of the popular Editor’s Choice series, Allure Fashion Director and Housing Works Board Member Michael Carl hosted “Last Days of Summer” at the Tribeca location.

The one-night-only charity shopping event featured carefully curated items by the fabulously handsome Michael Carl and featured one final dose of stylish warm weather clothes before we start bundling up. The soiree was co-hosted by fashion designers Charlotte Ronson and Shoshanna Gruss, who both donated items to be sold at the event. “I’m so excited to host my first Housing Works event as a board member in the company of Charlotte and Shoshanna,” Carl said. “We’re going to celebrate the summer while raising money for Housing Works’ mission to fight AIDS in New York.”

Upon entering the store I immediately spied a pair of Manolo Blahnik Carolyne slingback heels in dark gray. At the low price of $60, I grabbed the classic alligator embossed heels and tucked them away in a safe place so nobody could steal them away. Marie purchased a Shoshanna bikini for $40 and a pair of Charlotte Ronson wedge heels with tassel front for $65. Jen gets the award for most hilarious purchase of the night with a Bollywood dance fitness video. Also, they sold new havaianas flip flops for a mere $5.

The real jewel among the selection was an Arrogant Cat sequin mini dress with cut-out back, high neck and draped sleeves for $60. Famespy intern, Alise, emerged from the dressing room in the crystallized dress and my jaw hit the floor. Our youthful teenager looked like she was about to walk the red carpet and was immediately transformed from innocent Minnesota teen to the quintessential New Yorker. She looked spectacular and was ready to hit the town to show off her new find. It just goes to show that you never know what you’ll find when you dig through the racks of one of NYC’s best thrift shops.

Shoshanna attended the event clutching the Alexander McQueen Knuckle Duster bag and had me drooling. The powerful showpiece is an attention getter and something that is visually pleasing that I would be open to displaying in my house like fine art. The skull and Swarovski crystal-embellished knuckle duster clutch mixes goth-chic with high fashion glamour making it the only accessory you need for a night out.

“The Naked Woman” went missing from the al-Ahmedi Hall of the Kuwait Museum in the aftermath of the Iraqi invasion that triggered the first Gulf war. It was seized Tuesday from a former soldier in Saddam Hussein’s military, about 60 miles south of Baghdad. The man had been attempting to sell the painting for $450,000, but some Iraqi experts who saw the painting said it was worth $10 million.

The painting, which was signed by Pablo Picasso and bore inscriptions from “The Museum of Kuwait” is being held as evidence. The suspect, who claimed to be an electrician, is a former member of Saddam’s security force.

Newly released photos of the painting show it’s slightly damaged after having been folded. “There were stamps on the back of the painting saying ‘Kuwait State Museum. Al-Ahmedi Hall’, which we know is among the stolen things from Kuwait,” the official said.

Eugenia Kim is one of my absolute favorite hat designers and over the years I have amassed a collection of her heavenly hats. She is responsible for the “Muffy,” an equestrian-like cap that became a wait-listed item and was worn by Ashlee Simpson, Keira Knightley and other starlets.

Eugenia Kim has continuously reinvented the Muffy, using different fabrics, textures and prints depending on the season, but the style is always the same. Her hats start at around $200 so I was thrilled that she was doing a collection with Urban Outfitters of fun and fabulous hats at reasonable prices. Just another example of how high-end designer collaborations are becoming the coup-du-jour, allowing high-end fashion for the masses.

Eek! Eugenia Kim just launched at Urban Outfitters with hats ranging from $28 to $48. Kim interprets the Urban Outfitters collection with a young, fresh feel to accommodate to the younger consumer who shops there.

The collection features a Muffy-like equestrian cap, a version of her glamorous cloche which is perfect for fall, cozy cable-knit beret with buckle impression (my personal favorite) as well as hair clips and headbands which incorporate feathers and other embellishments.

Considering that Derek Jeter is one of New York’s most eligible bachelors, and Minka Kelly is just plain stunning, certainly has me excited. Prior to meeting my handsome husband I was certain that I would marry Derek Jeter some day. But as a fan of “Friday Night Lights” I approve of Minka and would love to see Derek settle down. Prince Michael Malachi Jet Jackson: Newest Alleged Michael Jackson Love Child

The circus surrounding the death of Michael Jackson continues, the latest being a 24-year-old man who has come forward this week claiming to be a long lost love child of Michael Jackson. The alleged son’s name? Prince Michael Malachi Jet Jackson.

Claiming he isn’t motivated by money, Prince Michael Malachi Jet Jackson, who goes by Malachi, has thrown his name in the hat of possible love children of the King of Pop. “Malachi has been told his entire life that he is Michael Jackson’s son. His primary goal is to have closure on whether or not Michael was his father, and he wants a DNA test to prove it. Malachi’s motivation isn’t money,” LaRue Grim said. “Malachi looks exactly like Michael Jackson,” Grim added.

“I’m seeking a DNA test and I’m very concerned that it be reliable and that no one slips in DNA from a stranger. Malachi never met Michael … from what I understand Michael Jackson was very private about his personal life.”

A birth certificate was submitted with his claim lists “Michael Joseph Jackson” of Indiana as the father and Zerline LaVette Dixon as the mother.

Prince Michael is also the name of Michael’s two younger sons. Coincidence?

Dominick Dunne

I am terribly saddened by this news. As an avid reader, I’ve read Dominick Dunne’s column in Vanity Fair for over 15 years in addition to every book he has ever written, twice. His captivating reporting on the shocking crimes of the rich and famous was addictive, making the high society scandals seem stranger than fiction. His colorful demeanor and storied mesmerized listeners, making him a sought after dinner guest. This gave him access to a world that wouldn’t talk to journalists.

His assignments took him to London to cover the inquest into Princess Diana’s death and to Monaco to look into the mysterious death of billionaire Edmond Safra.

Dunne and Elizabeth Taylor

Dunne, who joined Vanity Fair in 1984 as a contributing editor and was named special correspondent in 1993, famously covered the trials of O. J. Simpson, the Menendez brothers, Michael Skakel, William Kennedy Smith, and Phil Spector, as well as the impeachment of President Bill Clinton. He wrote memorable profiles on numerous personalities, among them Imelda Marcos, Robert Mapplethorpe, Elizabeth Taylor, Claus von Bülow, Adnan Khashoggi, and Warren Beatty and Annette Bening.

His first article for Vanity Fair was an account of the trial of the man who murdered his 22-year-old daughter Dominique shortly after she finished filming her first movie, “Poltergeist.” Sweeney was convicted only of voluntary manslaughter, not murder, and was freed after serving less than four years of a six-year sentence. The verdict was seen as a major victory for the defense, and Dunne bitterly told the judge in court, “you withheld important information from this jury about this man’s history of violent behavior.” He later told the Los Angeles Times the sentence was “a tap on the wrist.”

“If you go through what I went through, losing my daughter, you have strong, strong feelings of revenge,” Dunne said in 1990 in discussing his novel, “People Like Us,” in which the protagonist shoots the man convicted of killing his daughter. “As a novelist, I could create a situation in which I could do in the book what I couldn’t do in real life. I intended for Gus (the character in the book) to kill the guy. But when I got to that part I couldn’t write it. He wounds him and goes to prison himself for a couple of years.” Throughout his life, Dunne was a vocal advocate for victims’ rights.

Born in Hartford, Connecticut, on October 29, 1925, Dunne was awarded the Bronze Star, at age 19, for his service in World War II. In 1949, he graduated from Williams College with a B.A. In April 1954, Dunne married Ellen Beatriz Griffin, who went by Lenny. He and his wife hosted lavish parties at their Beverly Hills home, most notably a black-and-white ball for their 10th wedding anniversary in 1964 with a guest list that included Nancy and Ronald Reagan, Natalie Wood, David Niven, Billy Wilder, Gina Lollabrigida, Loretta Young, Angela Lansbury and Truman Capote. The party inspired Capote to give his own black-and-white ball two years later at New York’s Plaza Hotel, a legendary affair that included 500 of the biggest names in literature, Hollywood and society. “He didn’t invite us,” Dunne noted whenever he told the story. Dominick and Lenny’s marriage ended in divorce in 1965.

Dunne began his career in New York City as the stage manager of The Howdy Doody Show, and in 1957 he moved to Hollywood, where he became the executive producer of the television series Adventures in Paradise. He then moved on to producing feature films, including The Boys in the Band, Panic in Needle Park, Play It as It Lays, and Ash Wednesday.

But by this time drugs and alcohol had part of his life, and in 1975 he drove himself up to the woods in Oregon to face his demons. Living alone in a cabin, he became sober and at age 50 began to write.

In 1980, Dunne moved back to New York and saw five of his novels become bestsellers. His books include The Two Mrs. Grenvilles, Fatal Charms, People Like Us, An Inconvenient Woman, A Season in Purgatory, and Another City, Not My Own. A collection of essays, Fatal Charms, was published in 1987, and his memoir, The Way We Lived Then: Recollections of a Well-Known Name Droppe, was published in 1999. Justice, a collection of articles that had appeared in Vanity Fair, was published in 2001. And his last book, Too Much Money: A Novel, is scheduled for publication in December 2009 by Random House.

Dunne often bit the well-manicured hands that fed him, turning his high society relationships into fictional stories. A friend of Alfred and Betsy Bloomingdale of the department store fortune, he turned Alfred’s relationship with his mistress, Vicki Morgan, into a roman a clef, “An Inconvenient Woman.” Similarly, Dunne, who had been a guest at the 1950 wedding of Robert F. Kennedy and Ethel Skakel, turned his theories about the culpability of Ethel’s nephew, Michael Skakel, in a long-unsolved murder into another novel, “A Season in Purgatory.” Skakel ultimately was tried and convicted. His cousin, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., blamed Dunne for the conviction and told talk show host Larry King that the writer was “not a journalist. He’s a gossip columnist.”

His willingness to entertain nearly any source made him the target of an $11-million defamation lawsuit by former California Rep. Gary Condit after Dunne told a bizarre, unsubstantiated story on national television and radio programs that implicated Condit in the 2001 disappearance of Washington intern Chandra Levy. He apologized to Condit and paid an undisclosed sum to settle the lawsuit in 2005.

The documentary series Dominick Dunne’s Power, Privilege and Justice premiered on Court TV in June 2002. “I am openly pro-prosecution and make no bones about it,” he told the San Francisco Chronicle that year. “I don’t think there are enough people out there sticking up for victims.” Dominick Dunne: After the Party, a documentary about his life, premiered in 2008.

Dunne was beginning to write his memoirs and, until close to the end of his life, he posted online messages on his own Web site commenting on events in his life and thanking his fans for their constant support.

Vanity Fair editor Graydon Carter praised Dunne as a gifted reporter who proved as fascinating as the people he wrote about. “Anyone who remembers the sight of O.J. Simpson trying on the famous glove probably remembers a bespectacled Dunne, resplendent in his trademark Turnbull & Asser monogrammed shirt, on the court bench behind him,” Carter wrote in a statement released Wednesday. “It is fair to say that the halls of Vanity Fair will be lonelier without him and that, indeed, we will not see his like anytime soon, if ever again.”

Dunne was part of a famous family that also included his brother, novelist and screenwriter John Gregory Dunne; his brother’s wife, author Joan Didion; and his son, Griffin. In addition to his son Griffin, of Manhattan, Dunne is survived by another son, Alex, of Portland, Oregon, and a granddaughter, Hannah.

“I’ve lived this very dramatic life, with high points and terrible low points,” he told a London paper as one trial drew to a close. “Nothing has been ordinary, and I want to have the experience of the last breath. I want a little drama to it. I don’t want to die under anesthesia. I’d rather be shot to death in the Plaza or Monte Carlo by Lily Safra. I want something in the papers.”
